Holiday Home Tour – Living Room & Kitchen

December 12, 2019 7 Comments

It’s so crazy to think that Christmas is almost here! I know everyone says it over and over, but time truly does fly by so quickly.

Last year for Christmas, I put out very little decor. I don’t know why, but I just wasn’t feeling up to dragging everything out and making a big fuss about it.

This year, however, I had a bee in my bonnet to really go all out. That’s just how I am sometimes. I’m either an all or nothing kinda gal.

But since the house was gussied up (and actually clean) I simply had to take advantage of the situation for a holiday home tour! So here’s what our home looks like for Christmas 2019!

And from my family to yours, Merry Christmas!

I love loading up the tree with tons of colorful ornaments. Most are homemade from me and the kids. A few bottles of glitter and skeins of yarn go a long way in creating inexpensive ornaments!

Our faux tree is new this year. It’s from a locally owned floral shop so I don’t have a link to share, but it’s similar to this one from Balsam Hill.
Our cat, Karen, loves to nap under the tree all day.

Pomegranates make for great holiday decor in the kitchen!
Hobby Lobby had faux magnolia stems that were SO realistic looking! I snipped the leaves off of the stems and added them onto this faux pine garland.

And I couldn’t help but include this picture too even though it doesn’t “match” the other ones! I snapped this photo way late one afternoon when about an hour or so before sunset, you know that perfect time of day when the sun makes everything glow…yeah, I love that time of day!

Thanks so much for coming by!

xo Kayla

Special thanks to Mallory for snapping pics for me! It was a joint effort, most of these photos were taken by her, but I added just a couple that I took myself. If you’re local to the Northwestern Arkansas area and need photos, specifically real estate photos, hit her up!
