Gift Guide for the DIY Lover In Your Life

November 27, 2017 Leave a Comment

What’s up guys?!  I’m putting together my very first Holiday Gift Guide this year!  I figured, what better guide could I compile than a list of what the Do It Yourself-er needs, wants and loves?  If you have someone on your list who loves to paint, craft or “piddle” with small home improvement projects, I can promise you that anything on this list will bring loads of smiles and joy  These links are affiliates.  Let’s go!

Gift Guide for the DIY Lover In Your LifeDo you have a DIY lover on your Christmas list this year? I've compiled a gift guide that can help you buy for that hard-to-buy-for person!

  1. Critter Spray Gun- The perfect little spray gun for the hobby painter on your list!  Super easy system, set up and clean up!  You can’t go wrong with this gun for someone who wants to start spraying but isn’t ready for a bigger investment!
  2. Porter Cable Pancake Compressor-This compressor will run the Critter sprayer as well as any other smaller pneumatic tools around the house!
  3. Tool Bag- I have this tool bag and love it!
  4. Furniture Waxing Brush- Have a chalk painter on your list?  This would be a great addition to their tool bag.  I love to use these type brushes when I apply my wax topcoat.
  5. Screwdriver Set- Any DIY’er needs a whole set of screwdrivers.  And yes, I somehow do use them all!
  6. 4′ Ladder- Of all of the different sized ladders I have, this is the one I use the most!
  7. Half-face Respirator- A must have for any painter!  Don’t forget to also buy this kit to complete the mask!
  8. Electric Orbital Sander– Another DIY must have!  This one has served me well for many years.
  9. DeVilbiss HVLP Paint Gun- If you have someone on your list who’s an intermediate/advanced painter and looking for a gun, this is the one I use and recommend.  Love it.
  10. 20 Gallon Porter Cable Compressor- A bigger version of the above listed compressor that is better apt to run the DeVilbiss gun.
  11. Canvas Tool Apron- Great for any and all projects, perfect stocking stuffer.
  12. Knob Drilling Template- This thing has saved me days of frustration and fury when drilling holes for cabinet hardware!
  13. Purdy Brush Set- Get your loved ones good brushes!
  14. DeWalt Cordless Drill- Perfect gift item for the male or female DIY’er on your list!!!
  15. Furniture Dollies- A furniture painter’s dream come true!
  16. Shop Vacuum- Yet another thing a DIY’er has to have!  Mine gets a workout almost daily.
